Our 2D Class had a great Geography trip to Mtichelstown Cave and a hillwalk in the Galtee Mts. on Feb 3rd. They spent about ¾ of an hour in the cave learning about the formation of the caverns, dripstone features and the history of the cave.
This was followed by a hillwalk to Lough Curra in the Galtee mountains. Tired bodies returned to the school by about 5pm.
Thanks to Mr. Donovan, Mr. Dillon & Mr. Mc Donnell for organising the trip. Thanks also to Ed Casey and Barry Mc Cabe from Transition Year who came along and helped out for the day.
